About us
A free, autonomous and independent union
We are the disability department of CONF.A.E.L. — European Autonomous Confederation of Workers, a free, autonomous and independent union structure dedicated specifically to protecting people with disabilities, their families and caregivers.
We operate in accordance with Article 1 of the Italian Constitution and the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), ratified by Italy with Law 18/2009. Our daily commitment is to ensure workplace inclusion, dignity and equal opportunities.
The department fights for:
- A more inclusive and accessible world of work
- Reform of regulations to make it easier for people with disabilities to enter and remain in the workforce
- Spreading a culture of disability based on dignity, fairness and awareness
- Concrete support for families and caregivers

- Full support with registration on targeted placement lists under Law 68/1999. Help with documentation, liaison with Employment Centres and accompaniment into the workplace.
